York SBH – Race Report

Men’s Squad
Sunday 17th November and York SBH proved the biggest challenge so far for SCSBC men’s squad, with much larger pool of competitors at York Small Boats Head. However, they stepped up with the IM2 4+ winning their category, and the IM3 4+ coming second in theirs. Yet again these two fours were the fastest and second fastest Durham college crews on the water, both crews beating multiple university crews. They were Emily Greenaway, Will Moreland, Seb Dooley, J-L Wilkinson, Ivor Green and Mike Foulkes, Hugh Crawshaw, Tim Seeger, Alasdair Macfarlane and Ed Williams respectively. The men’s IM3 2x of Will Moreland and J-L Wilkinson won their event from a large number of entries. 
Women’s Squad
The senior women had a very successful day at York. The crew of Lucy Iball, Ffion Roberts, Charlie Denney, Tabitha Serle and Ellie Phipps were the fastest college women’s crew of the day, coming fourth out of a massive 27 crews in their category, and beating the next fastest college by 33 seconds.
 
The club’s next races are NIERC on 27th November, and Rutherford Head on the 30th November.

Tees SBH – Race Report

Men’s Squad:  This weekend was another successful one for the SCSBC men’s squad at Tees Small Boats Head. Firstly the novice crew making a debut for the season, and finishing as the fastest Durham college novice mens crew.
